big with: roman flügel, sven väth, laurent garnier, tiga, hell, oliver koletzki stephan bodzin is going to be one of the biggest name in techno 2007! that s for sure. his countless productions and co-productions have created him a very illustrious fan base including the biggest names in the business. he invented his very own and outstanding definition of electronic music released on labels like spiel-zeug, giant wheel, confused, systematic or get physical to name just a few. in 2006 he launched his own label called herzblut. this all sounds like a standard phrase for info texts, but in this case it simply is the truth. the next big step for stephan is to release his very first solo artist album called >liebe ist
< soon to be out on herzblut on triple vinyl and cd...!.
incl. amazing audiofly mix !!! played by oxia, stephan bodzin, mike monday the italian super producer remo strikes back with another sure shot of dark and electro soaked house monsters most of you will remember him from his collaboration with chelonis r. jones on giant wheel. big ball bass-lines are fighting against each other while a stomping beat and sci-fi synth sounds hold it tight. on the flipside no one else but uk upstarts and prolific producers audiofly (get physical, tsuba, connaisseur,
) deliver a super hypnotic and driving remix. smooth arpeggios and a slowly building melody make this a floor shaking bomb! not to be missed.
attention: it s nu-rave time!! sureshot for all fans of klaksons, kitsune, erol alkan. ed banger !!! next up on 12 inches we release a song from kim. of the presets and modular fame. whoah kim your a party machine! a lot of kim music is making us shake lately but this one especially makes your brain shake. it starts off with a din din da da da da din din of a steel drum and some bongo s and rolls and rolls like indy basement jaxx techno making you feel like you are in some kind of psycadelic carnivale in brazil in a moshpit or something, the vocal screams, >by the time they reach you i ll probably be dead< it s the kind of song you would be listening too if you were to be stuck in a hotel room surrounded by hot naked brazilian strippers doing coke off their asses and tits

hot hit remixes by d.i.m. ,tomas barfod & surkin if you don t understand chromeo it s obvious you are a racist. only racists and deaf people are immune to the montreal duo s funky funk. but because everyone at turbo can both hear... and believes in racial harmony and equality for all. we dig chromeo.... and are proud, nay humbled, to >drop< their first single off the desperately anticipated second album: fancy footwork. what makes this >footwork< so fancy you ask? racist scum... step the fuck off and open your heart to the finest distillation of minneapolis groove since mazarati. the chromeo boys are back in the o-sept to heal the fractured soul of dance music. teenage lovers, 20 something blogpoders, 30 something burn-out ex-raver >graphic designers< and 40 something afro-americans can all finally party under one roof... and that roof has a name, and that roof is on fire, and the only ones who can put out that funk-fire also happen to be the guys the roof is named after: chromeo - going to be huge !!!

d1 recordings mark their 35th release with eamonn doyle s >red shift< ep. following on from his recent >ghost of the machine< release on sweden s hertz recordings, here he lays down two more slices of extremely deep bass driven techno aimed at the more discerning dance-floor. the 12-minute title track >red shift< is built around a deep rolling sub bassline with layered orchestral strings used subtly throughout. the flip sides >winter sun< arrives with more shimmering strings, this time underpinned with a crisp 909 backbone and lifted with some rich and soulful lead string lines. this release is part of the d1 limited editions series. vinyl runs are strictly limited to 300 copies, after which the ep will only be available digitally. the red shift ep has already caught the ear of many of the world s leading producers with dj support coming from detroit legends dj bone, claude young, octave one and also mark broom, laurent garnier, rennie foster and kan shinomura

when iridite started out they really wanted it to represent a wide selection of electronic music - at the time, many of the bigger labels (and many independent ones too) seemed content to pigeon hole everything, generating sub label after sub label, each with its own micro-scene or genre. over the years we feel we ve done a pretty good job of steering clear of the obvious but we were still lacking a little in one important area - house music. although >ga< isnt straight down the line standard house music, it s instrumentation, simple repeating bassline and beats give forward motion that fits nicely with a more old school version of house along with some percussive vocal stabs and eventually, a huge synth string climax- like a cross between early ron trent, fingers inc and kenny larkin. the b side gives us two tracks from one of the most talented young producers working in the field today - jamie greer, who s tha poke guise gave us one of the highlights of ir004 (uncommon sense), moves >fall fwd< in strong style with his unique take on the (original) detroit sound - remaining completely individual, his sound is instantly familiar and yet never derivative or tired. both tracks have the energy to survive on the dance floor but the subtlety and depth to bear repeated listening at home - proper techno
played by oxia, josh wink, Étienne decrécy, claude vonstroke, desyn masiello, chloé, prins thomas, till west, coburn

toolroom mainmen mark knight & dave spoon return for another blistering e.p on toolroom trax. collaborating for the awesome title tune sylo, and then throwing individual tracks background noise & drug music into the mix. sylo is definitely one for the clubs with its chunky beats, electro tinged rhythms and massive builds. background noise is another signature dave spoon track, background noise is a straight up grimey affair with tight production and programming being the order of the day. drug music completes the ep from our very own mark knight. another heads down roller aimed straight for the dancefloor

sasso returns to the reedit with killer versions of the jacksons and roy ayers for the newly established edit series kat. heartbreak hotel is an almost forgotten gem that was originally released in 1980 as this place hotel, with sasso putting his brazilian influences to one side he lets the groove loose and turns this into a modern day boogie masterpiece with a sweeping string swept intro that had us hooked from the off. flip the record and you ll find another soul legend, roy ayers. we all know that we live in brooklyn baby is one of roy ayers most atmospheric and attitude packed tracks, here sasso has dubbed it out and toughened things up, ripping the original harry whitaker arrangement to pieces and leaving us with a synth led, bass heavy edit that is sure to win any dancefloor over

30.03.07
almost twelve months after delivering the gastronomic delight that was sugar slow, foundation man gerry o rourke returns with the astrologically astounding gemini ep a joint tribute to adam goldstone and simon freaked brant both of whom sadly left this planet last year. appropriately enough, we kick things off with a track cunningly entitled on an esoteric, minimal techno/house joint with shades of dubstep adding to the slightly ominous feel. we then lift the mood slightly for the quirky, retro, synth heavy techno inspired house of the title track, before bringing things bang up to date with the furiously futuristic rapid recal, and then rounding things off with the veritably funky raze dilemma. a worthy homage and another fine package from the foundation camp

LONELY HEARTS
12 Inch
27.03.07
joakim is back.this time tough, he surprises us with a small pop jewel! but lonely hearts is not a classic pop song, it is much more joakims interpretation of one. a catchy tune, which does not want to be one. an exciting contrast between catchiness and a bleeping onslaught.on lonely hearts, cheesy sounding strings really stand out over a stoic stomping drum beat, dark singing grates against beeping keyboard playing, in the chorus a wonderful melody has a comforting effect over the very sad lyrics.in addition to the album version and the radio edit, the lonely hearts maxi also features the loving hand remix by tim goldsworthy. the musician (lcd soundsystem) and label owner (dfa records) skillfully pulls lonely hearts to the left, brushing it into a dark club track. with the distorted slow motion vocals, the funky bass run and the demanding beats, it is suddenly very close to the sound that already characterized joakims club hits are you vegetarian and come into my kitchen. and you ll also fin a joakim dub of the track. this dub keep the pop side of the song with a more catchy approach for a more dancefloor version of the original and with always the weirdness you use to find now in the joakim production !supported by tim sweeney, prins thomas
